UPDATE 2.52 Problem - Blu-ray Forum

It asked me to install this last night so I did and now my Blu Ray Remote doesnt work at all, and my regular controller isn't working right. Does anyone know why this may be happening? I switched the batteries and tried to reassign the remote but that didn't work because it won't register any buttons when I push them. 99% of my PS3 use is for movies.

Help please.

Have you checked or tried to see if you can repair your remote? Also, if that doesn't work, I believe there might be a way to roll back to the prievious update but I can't remember how to do it.

I had that problem where the remote stopped working and one of the forums here had a fix like a quick reformat ... I'll see if I can find the thread.

I did the update my self just a few weeks ago myself. Try and see if the update got screwed up. If not go to your system settings (i think). and go toward the bottom it wil give you a couple of options. do'nt know which one though. personaly I had no problems though. And I use my PS3 for just about as muh as you do. hope this helps.

Have you powered down the machine from the back? Can you do a system restore?

Isn't this update a few weeks old?? I have had no problems on either of my Ps3's... nor have I heard of anyone else with problems. I guess I have no advise for you... I would have changed the batteries and tried to re-asign it myself, and you've allready done that. So, if you have a seconed Ps3 or someone you knows has one, try there remote??
