Alone in the Dark demo.... not bad! - Blu-ray Forum

I really enjoyed this demo much more than I expected. The story seemed interesting, the voice acting was decent, the graphics were pretty good, I liked the game play aspects, etc.

I had not planned on buying this one but after playing the demo, I might just pick it up. It's no Dead Space but I think it's a sleeper!

Yeah, that's why demos are out there for. There should be much more Demos in my opinion, it's the best way to know whether one really wants a game or not.

I liked it alot!!! The driving part was really great fun...the extinguisher part was a'ight..not so sure about the inventory setup, though...

lol i thought the demo was shite. absolute shite, but that's just me of course and i have never been into this genre of gaming.

i beat the demo and didn't see much of anything original, or anythign that caught my eye and said "oh, that was cool"

for me it was more like... "ok how much longer...?"

I didn't liked the control. It feels cheap. And the car control is even worst. But it doesn't seems to be a bad game. Probably a 7/10.

lol well that's not a good sign, since from what I've heard, the controls were far worse on the 360 version. I was hoping they would have gotten it right this time around since they went through the trouble of changing it for PS3. Well, guess I should save my judgment till after I try out the demo.

Not to go off topic..but what happen to the mirror's edge thread. i did a search and couldn't find it. i even checked my most recent post and it is not there. Just asking.

It works much better in first person mode than it does in 3rd person mode. Still, I didn't really have any problems controlling the character in either perspective. Also, I didn't have an issue with the car controls once I figured out the layout.

I started to download the free demo of ALONE IN THE DARK last night, but I cancelled it as soon as I saw MORTAL KOMBAT II (full game download) for only $4.99!

I played a few people online last night and totally got my butt kicked. D'oh!! Does anyone else have it?

Wait, people still play that game online? God, I guess I should download it then. As for Alone in the Dark, I've got nothing to say. All I'm waiting for is the reviews to see if it's improved over the 360 version.

I have read they have greatly improved it over the 360 version. They actually listened to players.
