Okay... I spent like an hour smacking that big lumpy bugger in the church with the blade thang and he was still tossing blocks of stone. How the Hell do you kill that big brute?

You need to throw your blade into the fire. Once the blade is on fire throw it at him. Once hit he will turn red like the other enemies do when you can do a finishing move. Walk up to him and hit O when the screen tells you to. You will need to do this about 3 times i think and he will finally die.

That is my only beef with the game is there are parts (mostly bosses) that without reading a walk through are near impossible to figure out. Often the method to kill a boss isn't hinted at with clues or anything..

Other than that the game is awesome.

Thats just part of the game to figure out an enemies weakness

If you were in a real life and death situtation with a unknown enemy would you expect someone to paint a picture or drop notepad books for you, that explains how to kill the unknown enemy?

Mostly in books you deal with a hero who does not always know how to win, he or she just knows they have to win or everything they care about will be destroyed.

If they did not experiment and simply knew all unknown enemies weakness would you not call bs?

Unless the person is omnipotent, all seeing and all knowing, they may identifiy weakness such as fire or stabby death, but regardless, obstacles should not have paint leading you out of them...

I mean it's not that difficult. Usually each boss is accompanied but either

[Show spoiler]fire, ice, or electricity

as a means to figure out the weakness. Dying on a boss a few times while trying to figure it out is all part of playing.

Charge the glaive by holding r2 until the reticle turns orange and then release it at the chain. The glaive should leave an orange trail if you did it right.

How do you open up that gate? it has chain-lock on it.
Are you supposed to find a key? I can't break the chain.

Interesting, I was writing my post as you making your post. Look at the time stamps! didn't see this til now, and the thread isn't bold anymore..but I haven't checked it.
