X-Play reviews - Blu-ray Forum

What is up with the X-Play reviews beside they keep calling PS3 and Wii useless paperweights and making 360 like a gift from God? Every time they review a game that is out for both or all system, they always review the 360 version and give it high praises. But if its a crappy game, they review it on the others and make it sound like all of our systems are just crap. In fact, they dont even list what systems a game it is available on if it involves PS3 or Wii, it will just say 360 or PC. I mean I love the show, I think Adam and Morgan are funny and they do provide good reviews for games, but I just think what they are doing to show support only for MS is not exactly an unbiased opinion which reviewers should have.

G4TV is so heavily biased towards the 360 that one can't help but think that they must be getting M$ kickbacks on the side.

Case in point:
Their review of the 360 Elite where the stated that the 360 Elite runs cooler and quieter than the Premium or Core is laughable at best. Do a search on http://www.g4tv.com/videos/index.html for "AOTS Hardware: Xbox 360 Elite" and you'll see what I'm talking about.

It isn't even possible when it's a documented fact that the Elite has the same 90nm chip, fans, and DVD drive as the other 360s and it's painted black. Gotta love propaganda.

The reason is because G4TV is a hybrid of G4 and TechTV. TechTV was completely owned by Paul Allen. Paul Allen is a Microsoft multi-billionaire. That means that Paul Allen probably owns at least 50% of G4TV.

What console do you think they will support?

They always seemed to consider the price of the ps3 too greatly.

I think in general they are cruel consistently.. to me sometimes
I wonder if they hate games all together..

I'm not sure, but look at the title X-Play (X= Xbox)

Actually, Adam's pretty funny. His personality changed after Morgan was added as a co-host. I don't know if that was a good or bad thing but the show has declined a lot.

I cant stand that entire channel, but that X-Play show is the worst of all to me. They think they are 'gamer elite' for some reason, and their word is the gospel truth, and if you dont agree with them, you're probably an idiot.

Their senseless bashing of anime is uncalled for as well. But it defintiely is out of control on the games.

I think thats true to a point. I think she's hot, but kinda annoying. I stopped watching about 6 months ago because i dont find their reviews accurate

mistakes and put them in a montage.

I hate that channel. I hate everyone on it. I wish there were away to destroy just a single TV channel so I could do so.

I think they would accept cogent arguments against their reviews, but the show really isn't formatted to welcome arguments - which understandably would come off as being elitist. I agree they're WAY too 360-leaning.

But hey, the way they riff on games (most of which are asking for it) reminds me of MST3K, my fav show ever. Plus Morgan is straight up smokin'.

And please, senseless bashing of anime is always called for. visuals are cool but overused/recycled, and storylines are completely unintelligible (likely lost in translation). Plus when a country (Japan) uses more paper to print that garbage than they use for TOILET PAPER, there's gotta be something wrong.

He actullay said he saw games on the ps3 that he didnt believe were even possible on the 360....gasp!!!!!

I saw one episode of X-Play back when it was just TechTV, an it sizzucked. I've ignored the channel ever since.

Couple years ago, my friends were all PS2 owners except for one X-Box guy. He once tried telling me about how G4TV put it over the others. I told him, "All the more reason not to trust them."

That means more Japanese reads a lot of comix than Americans IE they read more than Americans. I don't see this as a bad thing.

AND who needs toilet paper when the toilets waters you down and dries you up?
