Default Are the SAW films not worth a buy on bluray?

Well I have all 4 of them on dvd and I know SAW is going to be on sale on black friday.

I just wanted to know if it is worth the upgrade. I am thinking at this point I would obviously get 1 and probably 5. I just want to know if the quality is as good as dvd upcoverted or is it much better.

I'm a fan of the first one but I heard the transfer was horrible no lossless and no extras. We'll get a new one eventually.

I own II, III, and IV on Blu-ray, but I never had them on DVD.

I have the first one(the R-rated version) on DVD, but I won't bother upgrading until Lion's Gate double-dips it with all the extras, a better transfer, and lossless audio.

I'm actually amazed they haven't bother revisiting that one yet. They've had opportunities every year when the next entry in the series hits theaters.

I'm also surprised they haven't re-released T2 on Blu-ray, but I bet they're waiting for the 4th movie as a tie-in.

I would pass on the first one (R-rated cut and lossy audio). The others are good releases though.

Part 1 and 3 are not the longest, most uncut versions of the films available. Stick to DVD on those. 2 has more extras on DVD but it is the same cut on both. 4 is an identical release on both formats, and V looks to be the same way, so those are both no-brainer blu purchases.
