Default Different Blu-Ray cases.....

I have noticed there are 2 different Blu-Ray cases out there, one is thicker and the "blu-ray" logo on the front is indented into case abit. Then there is a skinnier case where the logo is just printed on......is this skinny case the new default case for blu-rays?

I don't really care which case I get. They both look fine.

Agreed. And besides, it's what's on the inside that counts.

I stare at mine all day
But I like the indented ones. The logo on the other rubs off.

Agreed that the logo on some rubs off (mainly because some have the security seal sticker on top of that logo while the other type has the seal going around that logo).

Also noticed that the 3-disc Wall-E one is bigger/thicker.

And of course the green special The Incredible Hulk case (cool).

There's way more than just two BD case out there, even for single disc case.
(Talking about US cases, not sure about other places.)

The one with the molded BD logo, Sony/Disney style case, is only 11mm thick.
The case with the printed on logo, I call them Warner cases, is 12mm so 1mm thicker.

And sleevetown sells the another version of the molded BD logo case, also 11mm thick.

I also know that the Disney's 3 disc cases, WALL•E, Prince Caspian, are 16mm thick.

Just incase anyone wanted to know...

The thicker cases are standard in Europe and Australia and probably other parts of the world as well. The thinner cases are standard in USA and South Korea (and probably in Canada and Japan, although I don't have any BDs from those countries).
