Default Blu-Ray Playing for Parents, Whats the Best?

Hello all, I am planning on getting a Blue-Ray player for my parents this christmas but I am not 100% sure what one is the best.

Currently I have seen 2 that looks brillient, they are the Panasonic DMP BD-50 and Panasonic DMP BD-55.

Whathifi.co.uk has given both players 5 stars so they both must be excellent. I was wondering what player do you think is the better one?

My parents where talking about getting an upscaling DVD player / recorder. These players cannot record but by the sounds of it they are excellent at upscaling.

I would like to get them the better player from the 2 so input would be great.
Many thanks people.

Tom

Both are great players on paper.
The BD-55 has 7.1 analog whereas the BD-50 has 5.1 analog.
Useful info if they don't have an HDMI receiver.
