I think the PS3 definately has the potential; I mean XBOX was doing well, but I think they are on their downfall, especially with their latest stunt. No matter what happens, I think the Wii will sell out every time until the end of the year and be wellover 12M units sold. Though they are not directly competing for the next generation HD gaming, the Wii certaintly has something completely inimitable. Nonetheless, I don't doubt that by the end of the year the gap between PS3 sales and XBOX360 will be narrowed to under 4M units if not sell.

I think you're right that the PS3 will begin to take over the market and eventually win out over the 360. However, I see the Wii as something that's hot right now, but also something that will fade quickly. It just doesn't have the same potential as the PS3 or even the 360. It's all about the controllers and once people get used to those, they'll want better graphics and that's not gonna happen. The one thing I always wonder, especially when seeing all the numbers, is why people are so quick to hate Sony and the PS3. Is it because they own a 360 and see what they could have owned? I have no clue.

From what I am seeing that PPl want the wii like any other fad. The graphics look really bad on some HD sets. I just see it doing the same thing as its predorcessor, becoming the system that you buy for kids. Older teens and adults will want the PS3 or xBox. We fall to realize what a big impact of everything doing digital tv in 2009. Millions have no idea that dvds are not hd and that watching your cable box over composite cable is not hd.

I work in the AV industry doing installs and have to address these issues weekly. So once they all get educated and see what a good picture looks like then the wii is going into little Bobby/Sussie room and they will get a real gaming console. Just like TME everyone wants one until next Christmas and the new fad comes out.

see...I am mad at my 360 because it crapped out....and I got money back on top of it...

but the 360 doesn't suck at all....as I've said several times....the PS3 is just alot better..

In almost a year I've yet to have an issue with my 360 <knocks on wood>, but hearing about so many "bricked" ones does make me nervous.

Agreed. Each is great it it's own right, the PS3 just offers more. Now if they can just start getting those killer apps to market, we'll be doing great.

I really don't understand this console wars; it's not like Blu-ray vs. HD-DVD. There’s room for more than one console. I don’t see Wii, Xbox 360, or PS3 going anywhere. There’re all making money. Sure some will be more successful then others, but that doesn’t mean they just disappear. Nintendo has been around forever and they’re still here. I don’t see Xbox going anywhere, I can see them releasing an Xbox 3 in a few years. Which I’m sure will be better than PS3, and then Sony will release PS4 which will be better than Xbox 3, and so and so.
I kept hearing the Xbox 360 is holding back third party from making games that could show off the power of the PS3. While this is true to a degree, I think we are forgetting some of these, third party, are making the same game for the Wii. Which we all know is nowhere near as good a Xbox 360 or PS3. Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII, Call of Duty 3, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance are a few games that I know of.

Non of the systems are going anywhere, as long as there games coming out that people want to buy.

We really can't underestimate the power of Halo either. 360 sales have slowed tremendously in the past couple months, but this fall they will most likely sell at least a million or two in a few months. Sony could do the same with MGS4/Heavenly Sword. If Sony can keep up with MS this fall I'd say we'll see the tides turn a lot next year.

nice video. The PS3 is still very new. The 360 has had 1 year advantage, which shows through the games...which 360 owners can only brag about. Wait 1 year into PS3's life and we'll see its capabilities.

I was thinking. Theres not really much point in having a 360 anymore. All games come out on ps3 now. Halo3 is the only reason to have a 360 anymore.

Sorry but, not all games come out on PS3 now. I'm looking forward to couple games on the Xbox 360 and PS3 also has a couple games I'm looking forward too.

For me, (yes! For me) I 'personally' think ps3 games are looking good. I'm not really looking forward to any 360 exclusives.

The music video says it all. The playstation store is enough for anyone to get a ps3. Paying is ok, but can really add up over time. With the home feature coming out for ps3, that would attract a lot of people. There's a big enough crowd for the xbox 360.

In fact by 15th September 2005, the Xbox made Microsoft a $4billion loss and they'll be hard pressed to make money from the 360 as a result, especially as the PS3 is now out with the dominant high def drive format.

Yeah your right! Every Xbox 360 exclusive will soon be on PC. But ps3 exclusives wont.
