Default 2nd child on the way...any parental advice?

I have a daughter that will be 2yrs old in January and one on the way in, I think, June. Hope this one is a boy!

Any advice from parents with multiple kids?

u're in about the same situation i was in when my son was born in May. my daughter was 2 & 4 months when Grant showed up. my advice is get her involved as much as you can but still make an effort to make time for her. we bought her a stuffed care bear when my son was born and told her that he brought it with him for her. she loved that idea.

also, do your best to sleep whenever possible. the little one you can hold, it's the 2 year old you have to watch out for that won't let you.

good luck!!!

Yes give up in your fantasy football league, besides you wont have time for it now.

Grats schultz.

According to my parents, 2 is enough. Congrats! My wife and I are waiting to have kids, planning on traveling a bit more still. Plus we were just married this past August.

We are stopping at 2...unless I don't get a boy! I am the last to carry on my family's name.

Funny that we both have our 2nd due around the same time. How old is your boy now?

6 months so yeah, I put one past the goalie in the 1st. He was a surprise baby (not knowing whether boy or girl), I remember being there in the delivery room and when he came out, i cut the cord, and they cleaned him off, and no one said anything, until I saw and yelled out "it's a boy!" cheesy yes, but if you're a parent, you get it.

This one will also be a surprise, not many of those left in life.

my mom hoped we would have a girl for our 2nd so we'd keep trying for a boy. my wife is dead set on 1 more, we'll have to see about that one. we got the 1st one out of diapers before the 2nd one showed up, my plan for a 3rd is to have the 1st 2 in school before the 3rd shows up.

we also talked about that, but we wanted kids while we were young enough to play w/them & stuff. and considering how tired i am now, i'm glad we didn't wait. don't know if i'd be able to keep up w/2 little ones if we waited a couple more years.

Being 30 is tough enough, but yeah I hear ya, it'd probably be easier if I was 25. My uncle waited till 40, poor guy...

I bet they do my brother is 34 and just got married, so if he does have any I gather he'll be around 36-37 when he does.

we found out the sex of my daughter as soon as we could. I am so imipatient and want a boy so bad, I don't think I can wait. I bet the suprise would be tremendous though!

BTW, I was so scared and careful when I cut the cord!

Anticipation is the best part, the way I think of it, is I have the rest of my life to know boy or girl, but for those short 40 weeks, I don't -- it's great. Delaying the surprise till the end. You just can't buy that type of excitement.

That's just my .02

yeah cutting the cord was I thought it'd be tougher, but it went right through, barely any pressure at all.
