OK, maybe I'm missing something here... but if I set up various accounts on my PS3, why is it that my 3 y/o can run The Club demo? Is there a way to prevent this? Are the parental controls universal to all accounts on the same PS3? Or are they on a per-account basis? I just want to make sure the kids can't run any of the M+ games or demos.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help out. |

![]() I really wish Sony changes this in a future update--each user account should be able to have its parental control settings modified. I also do not like the fact that the filter masks the game title... when you've got multiple games blocked out, it sucks entering the password in to see each game individually trying to find the game you want. Again, this would be unnecessary if the system settings allowed for user-specific parental controls. If I could let myself and my wife have carte blanche, whereas the kids are filtered at lvl 5 and below... those games shouldn't even show up on their list. Other than this, I find the parental controls to be pretty good. As for movies, I have not set those controls because we keep our movies in a locked media cabinet (keeps the baby from hiding them around the house), and my 2 oldest know they cannot watch a movie w/o permission anyhow. Maybe when they're older... PSN parental controls and the PS3's parental controls for games and movies are all independent of each other. I have my kids' PSN sub-accounts restricted so they have a $0 spending limit from my main account wallet, and a password is required to complete a PSN purchase no matter what user is signed in.
