Jet Li's Fearless Coming to Blu-ray
October 07, 2008

Universal Studios Home Entertainment will release Fearless starring Jet Li December 9 on Blu-ray Disc as the latest previous HD DVD exclusive to be ported onto Blu-ray.

Fearless will be presented in widescreen 1080p video and Mandarin 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio with English subtitles on a BD-50 disc. An alternative 5.1 DTS English dubbed lossy mix is also available.

Three versions of Fearless will be included on the disc: the original theatrical cut, the director's cut and the unrated cut.

For extras, only a lone featurette titled A Fearless Journey is scheduled to appear.

Fearless on Blu-ray will carry an SRP of $29.98. Check back regularly for high resolution cover art and pre-order information.

His last great movie, will be buying. Hero comes out this year I think? Will be getting that one too.

Hero will be amazing. Fearless was cool but nothing beats Hero.

Hero was SO epic. But my all time fav Jet movie is still Fist of Legend, such a great homage to Bruce Lee.

Now is this going to have the "good" subtitles? What I mean is I bought the Unrated DVD way back when, which had awful subtitles. Like the tea scene got absolutely butchered. Or will this have the proper subtitles like I saw on TV (TMN)?

It's a decent movie, I have it on dvd. And if it gets a good transfer to Blu, I'll pick it up. And Hero, definitely.

its out in japan on blu ray but it was released as "Danny the dog"

fearless is not unleashed,fearless is his last wuxia type film and it was pretty good.I hope the transfer is great as i love the director's cut.

I thought the DVD upscaled was pretty decent.

I'm going to rent this first before I pull the trigger and buy the BD. I like the movie but I have held off on other BDs where that is the case regardless even if it trumps the DVD already owned but nothing to write home about. I'm trying to be more selective with my purchases.

Time will tell. I'll stay tuned to this thread which really is the latest one I saw when searching..

I really enjoyed this movie so I'll be picking this up.
