Default Donkey X. "Um ... WTF?"

Here's the review with the cover:
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movie...07&show=review

Here's the trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcASkdv105Y

Seriously, Dreamworks/Paramount needs to hammer down on them because that is DONKEY from Shrek!!!

I know in Spain and Brazil they do these knock offs but those never amount to anything spectacular. This animation is like top notch and that Donkey is infringing some rights, don't you think?

Hmm, not from what I saw in the trailer. The donkey is nothing like Eddie Murphy's donkey. But there's hardly any screentime where he talks in the trailer so it's hard to tell.

Does "Donkey" go on an "X"-rated whirlwind adventure?!

By the look of the donkey, I would agree that there may be a case here, but most people won't care anyway. If he isn't a wise cracking donkey, then there won't be a case.

Simply having a talking donkey doesn't mean a thing.

And this movie is based on Don Quixote's story I hear, so it's not related to Shrek's story either. If this was a movie about an ogre who befriended a talking donkey, yeah, IP infringement, but this isn't anything like that.

It's "from the producers who saw Shrek".

Alex the Lion and the Samson the Lion from The Wild look very similar. I don't know how copyright law affects the design of animated characters.

Danm that donkey on the cover does look almost like "Donkey" from Shrek, yikes!

The movie must not be great beacuse Amazon now has it for a cheap $5.49

Keep in mind that "X" in Spanish/Porto-speaking countries like Spain and Brazil is often pronounced "Jhote". (...Get it? )

Thus leading one to believe that this film is not native to our Yankee shores, and outside federal jurisdiction..
(As most bad CGI is, qv. "Happily N'Ever After".)

Since this was a Spanish release the original title was Donkey Xote; not sure why they changed the title to Donkey X just for the US and CA.

Aw, don't be so hard on Donkey X....I'm sure it'll rank right up there with other great "X"-flix like this one:

Boris, you think Donkey X would make Jason X look like Citizen Kane in Space?
