Samsung P-1500 Bonusview query

I have a Samsung P-1500 blu-ray player and a Samsung LA46A650 LCD.

When playing the disc "Wanted" last night, the 'bonusview' text appeared in the top left corner. I tried everything to get rid of the text, but it stayed there during the entire movie and was very distracting. I understand it's notifying me that I can view extra footage at the same time as watching the movie. But I didn't want to watch the bonusview option, nor did I want the 'bonusview' text appearing on the screen.

Does anyone know how to turn off the "bonus view" text so it's not on the screen during movie playback?

Only way I found was to turn off all onscreen text in the players main menu.

Not real familiar with this but had same problem and this is what I did . On the blu-ray remote I pushed menu then scrolled to settings and then went to display settings and then turned on screen messages off and this fixed the problem. I am guessing this means the bonus view wont work but I didnt really want to use that feature anyway...good luck steve

1. Turn on your TV and Blu-Ray player WITHOUT a disc in it.

2. Hit the Menu button

3.Select Set up

4. Select Display Set Up

5. Select Screen Message and change that to "Off"

If you haven't already, update the player's firmware to 2.1. This new firmware gets rid of the annoying bonus view icon on the upper left corner with the player's display setting set to ON.
