Default Is the Samsung BDP 1500 really bad?
The reason I ask is that a Zellers store in Toronto, Ontario is selling it for $149.99! The regular price was $249.99 so I worry about the price drop. Usually players go down that much when there's problems that plague the machine. I've read online about the sound dropping or cutting out.....is this really an issue or has this been fixed with a firmware update?

I know there's a thread on this particular player but I don't have time to read 50+ pages of text.

Should I steer clear or pick it up? The price is definitely great but I worry as to why it's selling cheaper than Magnavox, Insignia or Sylvania players. Samsung is a well trusted name in electronics...but is the 1500 good or not?
