Default King Kong and Spiderman

Anyone know if these movies will be out on Blu-ray? I know King Kong is out on HD-DVD.
There's a whole load of movies I want to see on Blu-ray. I got to admit that some of the ones that are already out don't interest me in the slightest.
Here's hoping for Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord Of The Rings, Narnia etc etc

King Kong is by Universal which is with HD-DVD, so unless they start making BD's don't hold your breath. Spiderman on the other hand is by Colombia Pictures which is part of Sony Pictures or the other way aroundso make your own judgement.

King Kong is a Universal movie, and they are exclusive to HD-DVD, so it won't be on BD (Blu-ray) until Universal goes neutral. No one knows exactly when that will be, but with BD's sales lead ever growing, some people on here are hoping that will happen by year's end.

Spiderman is a Sony movie, so it will be out on BD, but some think they will release all three when S3 is out on video this fall.

For any other movie you're interested in, look up which studio made it, then look at this chart: http://klipschcorner.com/Image.aspx?...ioOrgChart.jpg

As that shows, "red" studios will not be releasing movies on BD until it wins the format war, which seems more likely than HD-DVD winning.

A side note: Warners is neutral, but they are waiting for certain interactive features, like Picture-in-Picture, to appear on BD before they release The Matrix Trilogy, Batman Begins, V for Vendetta, and other titles that are on HD-DVD (or slated for release on that format) but not yet on (or slated for a specific release date) on BD.

...and Narnia is a Disney movie so it will be out on Blu-ray at some point.

Cool chart!
Does anyone else think that Sony is "sand bagging" spiderman 1 and 2 for sales? Kind of like Pirates being released to coincide with the new release. I imagine it's sitting in their vault somewhere ready to be duplicated, just waiting for S3 to come out! I'm impatient, I want it now!
