Default SONY BDP-s300

This has to be the biggest POS technology I have bought. Not the way it shows it on screen, but how it takes 20 minutes to turn on and then another 15 minutes to open the disc tray, then another 10 minutes to load a disc.

Is there a reason its like this or do i need to throw this off my balcony now? lol

I used to have it...and with the latest firmware, it does speed up a bit in loading times. However, it's not going to be anywhere near instant.

hi midrange like you i have the sony s-300 at home and i do agree with you that this player is very slow (well maybe not as much as you describe but close) i suggest that while the disc load itself go get yourself something to eat and drink after all there is no need to get angry patience is a virtue and if the player is still not to your satisfaction go buy another like the s-350 or the s-550 there more and more affordable these days and they have bd-live something the s-300 doesn't have.

Thanks for your replies. Yeah, i did sound pretty angry. I'm not that bad, i wouldn't harm it. And probably over exaggerated a little bit, but i def agree its very slow.

How do i get these updates?

Thanks
Brian

Go to Sony.com and they will send you the update on a disc should take no more than 2-3 working days to get it
