Default Help ,Sony BDP-S300 ?

Asking for some quick advice,I have the Sony BDP-S300 And a Marantz SR-4001 Rec.With HDMI 1.3a .I have read a few reviews but still alittle ? able on what I sould set the Audio to , Sould I have it on Auto or LPCM out for the Blu ray Player . The REC. has DD & DTS It also has an Auto for SSound too. Any infor would help. Thanks . I played around with it this morning and really was ahving a hard time figuring out what sounds better.LOL.

If you can't tell the difference then setting to auto should be fine. If you pass LPCM then that should get you better audio and in my setup you can definitely tell the difference between DD & DTS vs LPCM. Just keep in mind that not all Blu-Ray titles have LPCM tracks.

Hey thanks man fir the insite, Tonight we watched ,Diehard 3# on PCM then I went back & tried the DTS . I can see the difference. Also watched POTC3# and played it in the DTS mode, It sounds better that way ..again thanks for your time to answer my ?
