I have a Sony KP-51WS510 TV with no HDMI connection, and I was wondering if a new BluRay player will work well without it? I have composite inputs and the TV is 1080i, so I am wondering if I will see much of an improvement over standard DVD.
Also, what is a good low price BluRay player? I am not a videophile, just want to make the most of what I have - something like this seems reasonable, but I thought Id ask all of you: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1201913483931 My TV specs can be found here: http://reviews.cnet.com/projection-t...1.html?tag=lst Thanks for any advice and help on this! |

Use Component cables, not composite cables! |

actually upon further inspection of the specifications you provided...looks to have a DVI connection.
use an HDMI-DVI cable instead! |

If you have a receiver with HDMI, run HDMI cable from player to receiver and then an HDMI-DVI cable from the receiver's HDMI out to the TV's DVI input. (This is the set up my dad has currently because his TV only has a DVI port as well). |
