Default BluRay without HDMI?

I have a Sony KP-51WS510 TV with no HDMI connection, and I was wondering if a new BluRay player will work well without it? I have composite inputs and the TV is 1080i, so I am wondering if I will see much of an improvement over standard DVD.

Also, what is a good low price BluRay player? I am not a videophile, just want to make the most of what I have - something like this seems reasonable, but I thought Id ask all of you: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1201913483931

My TV specs can be found here:

Thanks for any advice and help on this!

yes, you will enjoy Bluray over DVD.

Use Component cables, not composite cables!

actually upon further inspection of the specifications you provided...looks to have a DVI connection.

use an HDMI-DVI cable instead!

Crackinhedz is correct; run a HDMI to DVI cable from any player you pick up to your TV. This will pass the full HD video signal; you will need to get the sound to your TV through another connection.

If you have a receiver with HDMI, run HDMI cable from player to receiver and then an HDMI-DVI cable from the receiver's HDMI out to the TV's DVI input. (This is the set up my dad has currently because his TV only has a DVI port as well).
