how can I delete an app from my player? Do I have to have it connected to iTunes? Thanks for your knowledge in advance!

Do it from your Tunes library.

This is what I do on my iPhone and I'm pretty sure it works the same way on the iPod Touch. Just hold the icon of the app you want to delete for a few seconds, and then the icon will begin to shake. From there you can hit the "x" on the application and delete it off of your device.

This is also how you move the icons around to your desired location. Let me know if that works.
