Opinions on the Samsung 540 Series - Blu-ray Forum

I recently bought a plasma and at this point I'm not as pleased as I thought I would be. I've been reading up on the 540 series samsung 1080p and I'm wondering if anyone on here has this TV and let me know if it is as good as it's been said. Please let me know

A Lot of maintenance man.. you gotta do this, do that, make sure u dont do this and do that. I just wanna watch tv! lol.

Exactly why i purchased my sharp....I had the a chance to get a panny Plasma for the same price but i said im not going thru that......Did you break it in? maybe it will be better after you do that...

I'm on my 15th hour of break in, do you think I wanna go for another 85 to play my ps3 and tweak my Picture Settings,... I'm reading a lot about the LN 540 series and I think I'm gonna go with that.

Maybe I haven't decided, but I'm leaning towards it.

I would say stick it out until after you break it in then when you crank up the settings to the correct levels if you dont like it then purchase the Sammy

I love it ,had a olevia 37 inch before this one and this is a huge improvement

Got it for 1,000 on black friday

I like your set up. I had the Olevia 232T before the Panny. IT IS A HUGE UPGRADE. Olevia's suck

Well for the price i guess they are alright i had a 337H and when i had it i thought it was a decent TV but now seeing this Sharp, Olevia's do suck pretty bad....But there kinda nice as long as you dont compare it to nothing...

I had a 32inch Olevia then i got a 37inch this a pic of my old setup with my 32inch

A pic of the PQ on my old Olevia i calibrated it pretty good
