Bought Japanese Dark Knight for American PS3 - Blu-ray Forum

It works, because obviously America and Japan are the same region. I'm living in Japan for a while, so that's why I got it here.

One thing, there is no option for Japanese subtitles. All the other subtitles are there. Even the pop-up menu is completely English - as if it's the American version. My other Japanese Blu-rays don't do this.

Do some BDs adapt to the country of your player, like some PS3 games? I would like my Japanese options so some of my friends that aren't fluent in English can enjoy it.

Yes, Warner has done this on several blu-rays. Try changing the PS3 language to Japanese. That should allow you to access Japanese sub and dub.
