Thinking about getting this sub. Does anyone have any valid feedback on Velodyne or this specific sub ?

MSRP is 1800 however they can "let" me have it for 1,499

Is it for a 2 channel rig? If so, then you may like it, although if you're looking for a sub for music, I'd look elsewhere. If you're looking for an HT sub(s), you can do a lot better for $1500. Check out eD's new 18" sub. It looks like Epik's sub.

I would also recommend SVS subs, dual AV123 subs, dual HSU subs, or dual eD A5-500 sub's.

I have always liked Velodyne subs. But this is based on their DSP line, I believe, which blows equal sized Polk, Velodyne, and Klipsch subs to shame. Cannot compare to the subs that Driver_King brought up, however, as I have no experience with them. Overall, I've liked Velodyne, but have to agree that that price is useless and inflated.
