Final Fantasy 7: AC Complete: 4/16/09 US? - Blu-ray Forum

According to the bombshell of a tidbit o' salt, that Gametrailers dropped, the trailer itself suggests that a world wide release of Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children Complete, will be available in "limited" quantities.

A special edition "Cloud Black" Advent Children PS3 SKU with a 160GB hard drive, will be made available in Japan, costing 49,980 yen (about $550 USD) and will come with Advent Children Complete, and the FFXIII demo. Lord have mercy, bring this puppy over to the U.S. A. now please!

The movie itself will come in normal and limited editions, with the later containing the FF13 Demo. Included on this extra demo disk, are trailers for Final Fantasy Versus 13, and Final Fantasy Agito 13, which will hopefully include gameplay footage. The demo itself is suppose to run a whopping 2 hours+, (120 Minutes). Whereas Advent Children Complete clocks in at 101 minutes+, (1 hour and 40 minutes). Or that being said - the demo being longer than the movie itself, by atleast 20 minutes!

The only potential question remaining then is whether or not this world wide launch date, is a trailer fluke, or if Square-Enix is in fact making my dreams come true. Only time will tell.

P.S. If it's in fact a world wide release date on 4/16/09, when previously, only hinted at being in Japan first-only, then all I have to say is HELL YES!!!!!

Yes, but it's Square, so that means there's 5 minutes of gameplay and 115 minutes of cut scenes. You'll get to walk your character from cut scene to cut scene and maybe fight a battle or two.

I'm going to say the the "Limited Release Worldwide" is engrish for limited to Japan for now, with a worldwide release at some point.

Isn't this BD of Advent Children supposed to be extended? Any word on how much footage will be added?

Ummm. They said 'Worldwide release.' right? Doesn't that mean, worldwide? I'd buy this instantly if it has the FFXIII demo on it.

I'm pretty sure the FFXIII demo is only on the japanese release...

This is a title I'd look at importing though depending on how much it would be...

It's not happening, and this release is for Japan only

It will come out here when the FF13 hype machine starts rolling and not before. Japan usually gets FF games a year in advance of NA

They'll put English subtitles on the US release. They are leaving them off the Japanese one to help prevent imports.
