Default Suggestions/help please :)

My parents are looking for a new TV for their family room. They have a 47" opening. The room has windows but they are behind the TV and the room will not be very bright when watching stuff. (I am thinking that makes Plasma a better choice...) Most 46" sets fit unless they have a stupidly large/ugly bezel.
The Panasonic seems to be popular around here...
We are in Canada so we are somewhat more limited in suppliers as Amazon.ca kind of sucks compared to the US version.

When it comes to plasma, "not very bright" and "completely dark" are a HUGE difference. Go with whatever your gut tells you to buy. Shop around A LOT. Hopefully you can find someplace that has displays up with LCD and plasma right next to each other to help you make your decision. It *all* always comes down to a personal choice. I personally love the Samsung ln40a650 that I own. Then again, I really, truly hate how reflective plasma TVs are, so I'm biased in that regard.
