Need suggestions - Blu-ray Forum

Hi everyone,

I am moving internationally (returning to the USA). I need some suggestions on the packing of my gear (46" Sony Bravia LCD, Blu Ray Player etc...) I am not looking for a silly answer of why don't you put it back in its box. That is great if you are going across town not the Atlantic. I appreciate any suggestions. Moving to San Antonio and the my household is being picked up end of August. I need some ideas to try to protect the equipment. I have a lot of greenbacks tied up in my entertainment system. (Don't we all

Add few pillows in-front of the TV, wrap around with bedsheet and that's it.

Go to a few yard sales or flea markets and buy plenty of blankets. lay one out on your floor and lay your TV face down on it and wrap it up. Hell use 2 or 3 just to be safe. You may even want to consider building a shipping box for it out of plywood.

Is your contents being shipped in one of those pod type metal containers?

If so just take alot of cushy type materials and secure it good, strap them down to make sure there is minimal movement. Personally I would sell alot of the bigger stuff, with our weak dollar here you should be money ahead on the TV...lol But how are you having your items shipped?
