Speakers sound good but you should consider some more options for a receiver...

Title reminded me of one of my favourite quotes...

"Opinions are like a$$holes... everybody's got one!" ....... pretty funny coming from a reviewer, huh?

In that respect, I say go test a bunch of speakers for yourself and develop your own opinion. Everybody's ear is slightly different and you will want to make sure that you are going to be happy with YOUR decision.

The whole quote goes like this... "Opinions are like a$$holes... everybody's got one, and they all stink!"

How true that is.

I have the eD A6-6T6 towers and the 6T6 MTM center right now. I love them. I'm currently trying to save to get a set of the 5T5 MTM speakers for surrounds. Although Alex and Chris said that it may be a bit of overkill, and the 5TC bookshelfs are good enough for surrounds.

As I said though, I'm very pleased with my current front stage, as I listened to a few speakers before. I wasn't happy with the speakers I had at the time, and wanted something with a little more bottom end. I had used eD gear for my car, and was very pleased with the sound and the quality, so I decided to go that route. Now to just complete the collection.

And there it is
But asking for advise is always a good starting point and never hurts to share what direction you want to take

Trying to decide on Upgrading receiver + 3 of seven speakers. Or upgrading speakers first. What would you do?

Option 1:
Buy Onkyo 806($550) + Elemental Designs Speakers-2 6T6 L/R and a 6T6 Center ($476) + Use current Kenwood HTiaB for Rear and side surrounds= $1026

Option 2:
Use current Kenwood HTiaB receiver + Elemental Designs-2 6T6 L/R ,a 6T6 Center, 4 5T5's for the rear and surrounds($816)= $816.00

Option 3:
Use current Kenwood HTiaB receiver + Elemental Designs-2 6T6 Towers L/R ,a 6T6 Center, 4 5T5's for the rear and surrounds($930)= $930.00
