Default Blu-Ray Mega Changer

I already own Sony's 400 disc mega changer for standard DVDs. As my Blu-ray collection grows, I would like to store them in a similar player. Barring Sony's new Blu-ray server, does anyone know of such a player that can store (in bulk) blu-ray discs?

Not yet. I believe the Sony ES HES-V1000 Blu-ray Home Entertainment Server is it for jukeboxes right now.

That thing looks sweet but then I read the reviews and saw the price. If they can work out the bugs and lower the price then I might be all over it.

I would pay at most $1,000 for it... That's also if I had the money, also the HDD should be 1TB.

When you say "awhile", do you know something we don't? Your link says early 2009, and the news article here also says 2009.

Does anyone know what time of the year Sony normally releases new player lines?

Sony intends to launch the BD-Live-capable, RS-232 port-packin' beast in early 2009. There's no word on whether it will ever interface with HTPCs, but we wouldn't count on it.
I wonder what they think the RS-232 port is for?

I wondering mmunro2003, why your avatar is the HD-DVD version of The Departed?

Wasn't there a member here that had a BD mega changer? I remember he had Sony come over to his house to talk to him about it. I just can't find it searching through the forums. Was going to recomend the OP talk to him about which model he had.

That's the first thing that came to my mind. I actually own the Sony 200 CD changer. It worked really well and I enjoy it . I have everything on my Hard drive now though.

RS-232 is usually for high end controllers like a Crestron or AMX
