Hi there -

Though I'm not an expert, I have been doing a lot of research on the subject myself. The best deal I seem to have found is the Mitsubishi HC1600. Projectionguys.com has a sweet package deal on it right now. You can get the projector, 92" Infocus fixed screen, ceiling mount, extra bulb, and HD cable package for $1099 with free shipping...plus you get $199 in mail in rebates which would make it only $900 for the whole package.

They also have other screens that you can pair with it if you want...an extra $100 would get you a 106" Infocus screen...and an extra $200 would get you a 106" Elite screen.

I'm SO close to pulling the trigger on the Epson HC720 from the same place with the 106" Elite screen myself...I've to the point now where I don't really know if any more research is going to do me any good!

Not sure if that helped you at all, but I thought it might be worth posting.

Best of luck and be sure to keep me posted on what you decide to do!

For under a grand, look for someone selling a Mitsubishi HC-1500 chances are they bought it during a fire-sale for $600 so they may pop up on ebay for $700 or $800 if someone is trying to make a quick buck...... I got mine for $600 and it was worth every penny (although I'm already thinking about my "Next" one )
