Default Gas prices in California???????

Sorry guys I have to rant.

I can't belive whats going on. California has and probably will always be at the mercy of its own EPA and CARB. Some facts I know:

1 California CANNOT import gasoline.

2 California has to produce all of its gasoline.

3 California can export all the gasoline it wants.

4 No new refineries have been built in a very long time.

Everytime I hear that outside sources e.g. China buying up oil and Gaza strip in Russia effecting the price of gas here it just pisses me off. If a refinery goes down for maintenance guess what we pay more. If we lose a refinery we pay more.

Thanks for letting me rant

Try living in The East Bay, S.F. Bay Area.
Chevron USA is in Richmond, Unocal is in Rodeo, and Shell is in Martinez - do you think we get a break on prices?
Hell no!
Like the delivery from 1.5 miles away for Unocal, 6 miles from Chevron, or 22 miles from Shell is REALLY costing them outrageous delivery costs.

Good thing I don't drive anymore, huh?

No, they have a perfectly legitimate one. A butterfly flapped it's wings in Indonesia, causing gas prices to raise up. It's the butterfly effect in action!

I'm not complaining. I live in Southern California and drive a car that gets 35 mpg.

I goto work early enough to avoid traffic even though my commute takes me through some busy parts of the area.

I love living here but I wish I was back in Los Angeles. The suburbs are kind of boring on the weekends.

Even at it's height it wasn't nearly as expensive as Europeans pay everyday so stop complaining -.- Won't change it anyway...
As long as it stays under 3 bucks I'm happy.
