Who remembers Red Skeleton? - Blu-ray Forum

I picked up some free gifts at Mohegan Sun at Spin Street.

I combed the whole place for different stuff.

I came across a Tin Box with (2) DVD's of The Red Skeleton Show (CBS)

$12.99 -not too bad, considering their prices are inflated at Spin Street.

It's over 5 hours of fun. How great those half hour TV shows were.

The humor - quite funny (even 50 years later). The parodies of pop tunes.

The guest stars, all dead now, but none -the- less - brilliant.

Then again, The Marx Brothers will hold up well into when there's nothing left

but two or three planets . . . . (typo - Red Skelton)

His humor was kind and gentle, something that wouldn't be popular today. He was also a very good painter of clowns.

Do you mean Red Skelton? Yes he was funny, a much gentle humor from a time when repect of others was something that had more meaning then this day and age.

yeah i remember him he used to laugh before he got the jokes said but i perfered marx brothers

One of the thrills of my life was to meet him at Caesars Palace
in Las Vegas a long time ago. He was trying to sell the CLOWNS paintings
at the ART Store there.

What a special man he was. I do think he would work today.

After seeing Red perform again, it came to mind that Howie Mandell
copies Red's hand mannerisms. If you're gonna steal, steal from Red Skelton.

, I just thought it was funny cause I first I went to Wikipedia looking for a show call Red Skeleton? I was wondering what it was, it took me a few secondes to see what you mean

I thought "WOW Red Skeleton! What was that show? Horror? A Kid Show? So as you can see I am far from being perfect also

great memories of my grandfather and i watching the show together. he had copies of it on vhs.

Red Skelton remains one of my favorite performers. The hobo, Freddie the Freeloader, was one of his many characters. I can only concur with the other warm comments here --- his humor was kind and gentle. And, yes, he concluded each show with the words, "And may God bless."

Most certainly remember him. Enjoyed watching his show, but I can not remember if they were in reruns at the time.
