Anoyone here anything on this coming to Blu?
I have really grown to liking this move.
Not so much the first time I watched it but even better the 2nd and 3rd as you pick up on a few more things.

I didn't like it at all. I could see the ending a mile away, which is typical for me, but most people I've talked to enjoyed it. I wouldn't be suprised to see it come out on blu ray. I'd be happy if it did, at least some people can get what they want.

Did anyone know if it has the same Picture Quality as the HD DVD?
Cause its universal and they filtered certain HD DVD Titles for a BD Release.

Same here! I saw it today at BB and debated just picking it up, but I have a feeling it will probably drop in price pretty rapidly.

It's one of those movies that will be $10 or $8 somewhere in 1-2 months so I can wait.

Normally I would do the same thing, but I love this movie and wanted to watch before Halloween!

Any reviews or thoughts on the quality of this release? I am reluctant to buy any Universal catalogue title until I've read a review or heard someone's opinion on it!

I liked the movie a lot so I just picked it up last night and watched it. The PQ and AQ is way better then the SD DVD. It's worth the upgrade. Universal did a great job.

Glad to hear it sounds like this got a really good transfer, come on Amazon dip the price down to $15 please!

It has a few extras, like deleted scenes, and some other stuff but I can't remember right now. I'm not home right now, so I can't check. I don't have the SD DVD anymore to compare the extras, but If my memory serve me well, I believe they have the same exact features.

No, sadly not all of them. On the BD, you only get the director commentary and deleted scenes.

So the following is missing:

Blues in the Bayou
Kate Hudson's Ghost Story
Plantation Life
Casting The Skeleton Key
John Hurt's Story
A House Called Felicity
Gena's Love Spell

As you can see, lot's of the DVD special features are missing. BD Live contains nothing but trailers and previews of other films.

However, the film looks quite good on BD, especially the day scenes on the bayou.

The US release has some extras at least. The international release doesn't have anything and the menu probably has icons instead of text. Recent catalog titles without extras (Dante's Peak, The Game) do, so I guess The Skeleton Key does too.
