Default 4K Blu-rays are here

They're here 4k Blu Rays. Fox has these for preorder on their website. Fox is calling them 4K UHD. And they all come with 4K UHD disc, Blu Ray disc and digital/ultraviolet copy they release in March

https://www.foxconnect.com/4k-ultra-hd.html

And here is it the 4K UHD player it's $399.99 and that's after $100 off

So will a 4K UHD disk play in a regular blu ray player?

I will wait to see if 4k takes off. Still happy with my 55" 1080p TV. Definitely won't be getting a Samsung player. I've had bad experiences with them. May buy 4k discs on certain, must have titeles since they come with blu-ray too. But, i'm definitely in no hurry to upgrade to new tv and player yet.

The Panasonic player looks amazing. But like you not ready to upgrade yet. When I can get a 65" OLED for under 3 grand I will.

Will these fill up my screen or will they still have those annoying black bars?

The OAR will be the same as the 1080p Blu-rays, so the answer is yes.

I might buy some films on that format since it also comes with normal blu-ray disks for whenever I do upgrade everything to a 4K display. I'm in no rush to upgrade though, only films that I care to have pretty are films that have wonderful cinematography.

News: 4K Blu-rays are here

News: 8K HDTVs are here

http://solonews.net/94244/news/lg-an...tv-models.html

These new TVs are being referred to as "Full UHD" or FUHD. Will there be an 8K Blu-ray format? Is 4K UHD Blu-ray a transitional format?
