Does anyone know if Dreamworks is going to put titles out on the next gen formats?

So far, there's at least 3 titles that I know of...

Flags of Our Fathers, Dreamgirls and Norbit.

Cool

I'm sure they'll start rolling out soon. Some studios may be in wait and see mode until this hd war is over, but now that bluray is dominating and growing every day, I'm hoping to see the titles being announced. For me in particular -- Saving Private Ryan and all three Shreks.

Does Dream Works support Blu-Ray?

ps: Is it me or do other people get irked when people type Blue-Ray

Yes, they do support blu, see above posts regarding which movies they have already released.

Most everyone on here gets "irked" by the blue vs. blu

I do know that dreamworks is neutral. however, it also depends what other studio they are in collaboration with, for example, Gladiator was a work from dreamworks and universal, and on top of it is distributed by universal. i doubt you will see this movie in particaular on Blu unfortunately. i guess the best thing to do, is wait until universal wise up, and realize that they are really going nowhere with HDDUD.

This is incorrect. While Dreamworks collaborated with Universal on Gladiator, Dreamworks retained the domestic US Home Video rights. All Dreamworks Home Video released used to be distributed by Universal on behalf of Dreamworks. However, a few years ago, Dreamworks was bought by Paramount, including the home vieo rights. The rights for catalog titles were subsequently sold to Soros Entertainment. When Soros decides to release in HD, you'll see these titles distributed by Paramount on Soros' behalf.

You're not going to see anything not directly tied to another movie or anniversary until after the format war is over. DreamWorks as a company still manages the films, Soros just recieves the paycheck minus a handling fee.

DW isn't too hot on the whole HD thing right now, and the earliest you'll probably see anything big like Gladiator is next Christmas.

Yeah, but Warner got the video distribution rights to it, while Paramount/Dreamworks got Flags of our Fathers.
