Post Come on, Paramount/DreamWorks...

You've been blinded by the darkness of HD-DVD, and now that Toshiba's thrown in the towel, all you have to do is just take a few little steps, and you'll be right back in the light of the "Blu" world -- with 20/20 vision, I might add -- giving us such hits as Transformers, Blades of Glory, Top Gun, and (hopefully) Sweeney Todd on Blu-ray! Come on, Paramount/DreamWorks! You've done it before, and you can do it again!!

I know its a long and hard wait but think about it... They will not be the studio that holds out and produces DUD media when Toshiba is already gone. They will come back soon enough and you will get all these titles on Blu. I know its tedious waiting for the official announcement but common! you know its inevitable

They will have titles out soon. They will start before universal. I'm looking forward to seeing what is coming down the road from these two. I'm sure they will give us some big titles by year end. I'm hoping for gladiator, braveheart, and saving private ryan

I am sure that they are in discussions with the BDA. Things are never as easy as they appear. There is always a way to make an extra buck, and that my friends is the Paramount way

Its going to happen tomorrow. Lets face sure that LG will continue producing HDDVD players, with Paramount/DW on their side it is like 95% versus 5% of the market. That isn't logical is it? Between wednesday and friday I am sure 95% that Paramount/DW will announce their transition to BD.

I am more anxious for Saving Private Ryan than Transformers. Not to say I wount buy Transformers. Gladiator would probably be #2 for me.

Give them time but they better bring the Friday the 13ths on Blu-ray or I might not purchase to many of their titles.

Relax guys. Most likely they're prepping Blu-ray releases as we speak and will put some out shortly after their announcement (I'm guessing Transformers will come by the summer, if not before).

I'm awaiting the announcement as well. Hopefully they are prepping a nice little release schedule list to go along with the announcement. Maybe dates for all the titles they were about to release before going exclusive such as Transformers, Blades of Glory, Top Gun, etc.

What I do not understand right now, is why Paramount announced Sweeny Todd and There Will Be Blood for April 1st. WHAT?? Why would they announce NEW titles on a dead format? Then issue no statement what so ever on Toshiba's announcement.

Would I be wrong in saying that because Saving Private Ryan was a Spielberg film, it was exempt from the Paramount/HD-DVD contract. ?
