Does anybody know if The Wrestler will eventually get a Blu Ray street date? I can't find anything on it and it wasn't ever in theaters here in Kentucky?

Its barely out in any theaters..opening more wide this month...but I hope it gets a blu release. Its Fox Searchlight..and they released Street Kings, Sunshine and some others..so I hope so.

LUCKY!!! It seems EVERYONE is seeing it.. I have to wait until the 9th to see it in MN.

yah I heard something kentucky may get it around jan 26th, but thats weird why are they releasing it different dates in different cities? But yah I guess a Blu Ray is far off!

I want to see it but it's not playing at my local theater.

According to Fox Searchlight's website the wide release dates are January 16 and 23. A DVD and Blu-ray release date should come shortly after that.

Was an excellent movie, and I am not a wrestling fan. An amazing story with excellent character development, I am sure many will be able to relate too this story in some way. Mickey Rourke's acting was spot on and this could be his come back role (I could not see Nic Cage playing this role), Marisa Tomei was smoking hot as a stripper, and had greatest soundtrack of the year. Just not too sure how I felt about the ending, but the more I think about it I don't know how else to end it.

I just saw this today and was blown away. One of my favorites of the year, and I definite purchase on Blu Ray!

Its an amazing film, according to an interview with the director it was shot on super 16mm which gave it the grainy look. Should look great on blu-ray.
