Default How to tell if HTiB can process LPCM?

To make this story short I just need a cheap HTiB for my room for my PS3.

Since the PS3 will be decoding the HD audio soundtrack and sending it as LPCM to the receiver I don't know where to look to see if the receiver can process the LPCM.

I've read that just accepting LPCM is not enough as the receiver needs to boost the LFE channel by 10dB in order to equalize the sound. I doubt most HTiBs actually do this, but in the off chance that they do, can someone tell me what to look for on the packaging or give me some links to known receivers that can process LPCM 5.1 effectively?

Thanks guys.

but the biggest dead giveaway is if they say "additional cable needed for audio".

Yeah, I've seen a couple that say that. Thanks for your help.

Does it just pass the LPCM through without boosting the LFE? I think the receiver should boost the LFE channel by 10dB (or so I read) as decoded DTS-HD MA and DD-HD has their LFE channels softened when the PS3 decodes them.

in any decent receiver, you can boost or lower any channel, including lfe. its done manually in the speaker settins.
