Default Guitar Hero World Tour OR Rock Band 2 ??

Hey fellow blu-ers,

Since Christmas is now over, I have enough to get a PS3 (finally) and either Guitar Hero WT (whole band kit) or Rock Band 2 (whole band kit) and was wondering which is worth the $$$ ??? Should I just get 1 and buy the single game to use with the instruments from the 1st set?

I've never played Guitar Hero WT but I have played Rock Band 2 for Wii and I love playing the drums!! The song list is pretty good also.

Any advise is good for me!!! THANKS!!!!

I'm glad you finally got a ps3 and I'm sure you will enjoy it; but your question has been asked numerous times and most recently here:

Clicky

I choose rock band 2 for various reasons ( explained in that thread) but it all comes down to which music you like more from both of them. Good luck in your search. You can also buy one game full equipped and later on just buy the other game and use the same instruments for both games.

Get Rock Band 2. You'll regret it if you don't.

P.S. I got the Ion Drum Kit.

I just got Guitar Hero at BB with the guitar only for 79.99. I have never played either of them, but wanted to check it out. Great Songs on World Tour and I love it. I would say guitar hero. A Blast!!

Well i have RB1, and i got GHWT, and then got RB2 for Christmas. RB2 sounds better, but i think the songs are better on GHWT.

I have GH3, and I played GHWT at my sister's house over Christmas. Went out and bought RB2. Whatever you choose; continue to !

Rock Band 2 hands down. Go check GH's forum on their site and see how many problems people are having with their drum set.

rock band 2 for sure, and you can always rent the first rock band disc and import the songs through PSN for $5, its like having both games for the price of one, rock band is by far the superior game in my opinion

i like the both of them the GHWT and RB2, but I prefer more the RB2 because of it's career mode, which i enjoy better than the mode on GHWT

Ok, i had this dilema of trying to choose between them both myself. I have both rock band 2 and GHWT and i ended up going with the Guitar Hero band kit. Now, here is what i have found and it depends on if you play on your own or with people more. As far as equipment goes, when i first got my kit, one of the cymbol hits died after a day, got it replaced the next day and its been fine ever since. The guitar is good, no complaints. I have a buddy who recently got the rock band kit and the guitar died twice on him in one week, so apparently they both have some issues with equipment. as far as the game goes, the guitar play on Guitar Hero is better than on rock band, but the drums are better on rock band than guitar hero, IMO of course. If your looking for total over all experience, Rock band is the way to go. Mainly because of its presentation, ease of use to have songs from other rock bands extracted and only have to use 1 disk. thats my info for you, just figured id share...

Rock Band 2, no question, if for NO other reason than the song catalog you have access to now.

Grab yourself a used copy of Rock Band (1) off of eBay, and then import those songs and you've already doubled your selection. I think I got one for around $5 when i did mine.
