Default World of Giants (TV Series 1959) coming from ClassicFlix

World of Giants Blu-ray

https://www.classicflix.com/blog/202...etter-number-6

WORLD OF GIANTS

We're pleased to report that we have acquired the 1959 science fiction television series World of Giants. Scanned from 16mm prints, the material is sharp and in relatively good shape and we expect to release the complete 13 episode series on both Blu-ray and DVD (as part of our Rare Television line).

Starring Marshall Thompson and Arthur Franz, WOG boasts high production values, numerous top-notch guest stars and has several episodes helmed by luminary sci-fi directors such as Nathan Juran (20 Million Miles to Earth), Jack Arnold (Creature from the Black Lagoon) and Byron Haskin (The War of the Worlds).

We expect to make an official pre-order announcement soon, but check out some clips below in the meantime.

"Restoration in progress" of the episode entitled "Chemical Story" with guest stars Peggie Castle and Gavin MacLeod.

Boy! That show looks really goofy. Gavin McLeod is really hamming it up there. It feels like a comic book.

Yes, I can see how it can come of feeling like a comic book, and, yes, Gavin is going to town in this episode.

Goofy or not, sci-fi and rare TV fans have longed for an official release of this series and I'm sure they will enjoy it.

This looks like something my kids will love. I'm looking forward to watching it with them.

Correct. "Land" came a full decade later.

If I place a combined order that includes a preorder item and an in-stock item, do they ship together when the preorder item reaches street date? Or would the in-stock item ship earlier?

You can choose to ship them later upon the WOG street date or two ship them separately. The former is $4.99 flat shipping while separately is $4.99 per shipment.

Ordered! This looks great!

Oh and by the way... thanks for the copy of Blonde Ice... I was the winner of the sweepstakes on here!

I see that you guys started using Scanavo cases... they really make the release looks snazzy on the shelf!

Love your label... I'm a long time fan!

Thanks for supporting our label.

For clarity, we started using Scanavo's with ABBOTT AND COSTELLO - SEASON 1, and then transitioned to them 100% with all top line releases since I, THE JURY last November.

Silver Series and Rare TV BDs will still just be a clear, no logo BD case which you can see here:

Yeah... I was a Kickstarter supporter of the first Season of The A&C Show... I noticed the Scanavo with that... but figured the multi-disc component is what made it so...

But Scanavo on all high-end Classicflix releases! That's amazing!

Now I'm just waiting now on Bob to finish Season 2 which I have also supported on Kickstarter... it's almost here!
