Default Rambo Trilogy on Blu

Simple question...

If you have the Ultimate Edition Box Set of the original Rambo trilogy which has great PQ and AQ, is it worth picking up the blu-ray set?

You mean you have the DVDs? JJ says its worth it - I picked up my Rambo Trilogy pack for $25, you can't say no to that. Great PQ for the source material, and I love the movies. That was all I needed to decide!

I have the U.K quadrilogy on Blu, and the picture quality is very good, especially in the close up shots of Rambo and the Colonel. I assume the U.S release will look just as good.

Yes, it's worth it. I have the Ultimate Edition DVD Box Set and went for the double dip on the BD set and have no complaints. In fact, there was even a nice surprise on the second film.

If you watch the DVD, look carefully at the scene where Rambo uses the chicken blood to lure the soldiers into the dry brush area and then sets them on fire. Several shots look awful, as if the film elements had been replaced with VHS elements. Not sure what happened but it's very noticeable on the DVD. Anyway, on the BD every shot in that scene looks clean and matches every other shot in clarity and detail.

I say do it!

The Blu-Rays are a definite step up from the DVDs. They can be had pretty cheap, so go for it.

I would upgrade on this for sure, and did. The Rambo BD movies can be had at a really good price. A noticiable improvement over DVD.

So glad I did not order it, saw it in the store and I hate the box.

I think I might just wait for a re release or order them all individually lol.

You do know that it has the Blu-rays packaged individually in regular cases in the box right? You can through the case away if you want.

Yeah I know, and I might as well order the trilogy, because I just added the three individual movies to my amazon cart and it only came out 2 dollars cheaper.

As I have the 3 movie/4 disc dvd set , I will pickup the Blu-rays individually and pass on the box set as the Studio *******s did not include the 4th film in the Blu Box , only the dvd box

Nothing new here with my post (I'm just bored). The Rambo set on Blu-ray is worth the buy. It is a step up from the already impressive DVD set.
