I was really psyched for this one as Anchor Bay was supposed to deliver the original and 'remake' in one nice set. However its like this one dropped of the face of the Earth.

I was wondering about this, too. Looks like it fell off the roadmap. I just hope they include the original version as well.

I wouldn't mind seeing this option available, but I don't want another situation like TMNT or Silence of the Lambs. Don't release a movie so that fans buy the individual, then turn around and package that movie in a boxset with other movies exclusive to that boxset.

I'd really like to have the first Ghost in the Shell film, and while there are some movies I am willing to rebuy in a situation such as this, I don't know if GitS 2 is one of them. It's easy for me to find someone to give my copy of TMNT or Silence of the Lambs or House of Flying Daggers to, but I don't know anyone who would want a Ghost in the Shell film.

GiTS was epic. I remember reading it was supposed to come out this year.

And I'd much rather have the single release. Got GiTS 2 on dvd way back for 5 bucks. Not worth the re-buy.
