Anyone own Priceless on Blu? - Blu-ray Forum

I saw this movie last night on DVD because netflix had a long wait for the blu-ray version and just stuck with the DVD. The DVD actually looked pretty good and was wondering how much better it would look on Blu. I have to say I enjoyed the film. It made me chuckle throughout. Plus, seeing Audrey Tautou is always a good thing!

It's no masterpiece, but it is a fun way to spend a couple of hours. The movie looks very good on Blu-ray, and of course, Audrey Tatou looks great in her revealing outfits. The subtitles on the Blu-ray (not sure if the DVD is this way) are lacking; they're the kind used for the hard of hearing rather than normal subtitles. Aside from that, it's a nice disc and it's relatively cheap for a BD.

I enjoyed the movie as well. I thought it looked very good on blu. Other than the subtitle issue...if you wanted to purchase it than I would say go for it.

Oh, really? I noticed that issue on the DVD. It had English and Spanish subtitles but strangely no French subtitles....

My copy has English subtitles. Unless my French has gotten better or I don't know that I can read Spanish.

For the people that have actually watched the Blu-ray, how bad are the English HOH subtitles? I could stomach it if there are not too many extra descriptions.

1. The disc is region-free.
2. There are Spanish and English SDH subs (they are not terrible at all, in fact they are about 95% identical to what we regard as "regular subs").
3. The subs appear inside the image frame.

I will have a review for it in about 48 hours (I have been very sick for about a week now but I am getting back to normal).

My wife and I enjoyed the movie and really didn't pay attention to the subtitles. They did not detract from the movie. The blu-ray quality was good, nothing sopectacular, just very clear.
