Power Ranger Actor Sentenced to Death - Blu-ray Forum

"It is the judgment and order of this court you shall suffer the death penalty as to each count," said Orange County Superior Court Judge Frank F. Fasel, adding that he decided to impose the penalty partly because of the horrific nature of the murders.

Prosecutors said that Deleon pretended to be interested in buying the couple's nearly half-million-dollar yacht and threw them overboard during a test cruise in 2004. They said Deleon and his then-wife, Jennifer Henderson, crafted the plan to kill the Hawkses to steal their boat and savings. After the yacht killings, he and Henderson scrubbed the boat clean with bleach wipes. Deleon used his young daughter to win the trust of the Hawkses, whose bodies were never found.

"It is difficult to imagine a case where it's more cold-blooded and calculated than this series of murders," prosecutor Matt Murphy said after the sentencing. "I can't imagine a situation that is more deserving of the ultimate punishment."

edit: nvm, he appeared in the show, wasn't a main ranger. was confused.

no it's not. the guy wasn't even a power ranger. he starred in one episode. the news story's word choice is kind of misleading.

i guess, i don't know how else jason could word it without it being unnecessarily and overly long i.e. "guy who starred in 1 episode of power rangers sentenced to death."

He was a little kid in one episode. That show didn't really credit anyone except voice actors in the end credits, so he may not even have his name in the end of the episode he was in. He played a kid who didn't make it onto a team, but did by episode's end because of practice.

According to iMDB, he never acted in any other show or movie.

Therefore, to call him a "Power Ranger" actor or even a child star is completely misleading, and he's only being referred to as that because it generates press.

Couldn't agree more about the wording. I mean that's just lame.

Now about the calculated murders, that's just messed up and cold-blooded. It doesn't even matter what his Hollywood credentials are/were.

How can someone be tried for murder if there are no bodies?? (unless there is some other irrefutable evidence, video or something)

There doesn't have to be a body to convict someone of murder.
