Default Notorious -- thoughts

Who has seen this movie, and what are your thoughts on it?

In my opinion, this may be a more enjoyable movie for those who may not know a lot about who Notorious B.I.G. was. I thought the person that played 2Pac was too goofy. I know he was a hyper guy at times, but not that goofy. As a whole when I was watching it, I kept thinking this is a movie that would be premiered on VH1, and not the big screen. 8 Mile worked because it was a movie about fictional character, slightly based on a true story. With those who know the artist, it may not be as entertaining to see other people playing these roles. This is my opinion, but it was still a decent movie and entertaining at times.

I've never seen the movie and will wait for it on blu-ray but I still like Biggie Smalls music. Too bad he died, he was one of the best along with 2Pac

And both guys are releasing more CDs dead than when they were alive.

How? Did they know they were gonna die soon so they decided to create more music for the future?

No. But while an artist is working on an album, the final product might be around 15 tracks, but the artist probably recorded around 30-40 for it before making the final cut.

I will probably rent it on Blu-ray when it is released. I have no idea who these people are but I am a little interested because Artie Lange breaks out the Notorious B.I.G. impression from time to time on the Howard Stern show.

I know that 2pac was a workaholic and all he did was record music. He probably has dozens more that he hasn't released.

I just saw the movie. They had a few cops outside that particular theater door.

My audience was strangely mostly white. Not only that but a group of goth kids all came in. It was like they had formed some kind of goth gang. They took up about a whole row themselves. Hopping over seats and stuff. They were loud and kind of rude. Kicked my seat and talked through some of the movie and all of the previews. One of the girls even hummed the theme for fox searchlight as it came on.I cringed of course. They looked so out of place in a hip-hop rap bio pic that one of the few black guys that came into the theater actually walked up too me and asked me if he was in the right theater.I laughed and said yes.

As far as the movie went, I enjoyed it. Sure if you know most of the history you pretty much know the story. I knew most of it myself but some of it I didn't. The acting was good in the movie as well. If you're a fan of BIG then you'll like the movie. IF you're not and find the idea of the story compelling then you should like it as well. I disagree with some of the reviews I read where it said Biggie was made to look too good. The film showed his darker side and mistakes all through the movie. I'm sure not to the actual real extent but it didn't sugar coat the man.

If anything the movie reminded me what kind of influence Tupac and Biggie had. It also brought back fond memories as I heard some of the cuts played in the film.

I read online the Death Row Records is up for an auction late this month again. A company which includes thousands of unreleased music from artists such as 2Pac, Snoop Doggy Dogg & Dr. Dre.

And TMZ became the most reliable source of information and news... when?

Seriously, they're one step away from "Brittney's love child with Satan" headlines.
