Default Samsung-bdp-1500 Vs Samsung Bdp-2550 Need Some Help

Hi

I just don't know what one to pick

The BDP-1500 IS $199.99 WITH 3 BLU RAYS

BDP-2550 IS $299.99 WITH 3 BLU RAYS

I just don't know if I should pay the extra $100.00

I read the BDP-1500 Doesn't have a Fan and Can get very warm and it doesn't like to play paramount discs.

Does the BDP-2550 have a Fan???

All I can find is the 2550 has more audio options

Looking for some help if I should spend the $100.00 more

Thanks

2550 has hqv processing which is really good. Has 7.1 analog support.

The 2500 has the HQV chip for great dvd play back & also has 7.1 analogs outs. So do you have a 'large' DVD collection? Do you have a reciever that can or can NOT do HD decoding?

Samsung PN42A450 42" PLASMA

It's only a 720p through

So does the BD-P2550 HAVE A FAN BUILT IN ALONG WITH THOSE OTHER OPTIONS.

I DON'T WANT IT TO OVER HEAT IF I WATCH A 3HR MOVIE

Hi

Sorry for Bringing this Back

I wasn't able to find anywhere saying the 2550 had a internal fan and the sales person said No.

So I bought the 1500 but want to upgrade to the 2550 still

As to you telling me about the 7.1 analog outs, Is Analog Good?

Should I look for a 7.1 Digital Output BLu Ray player

I do have a Big DVD Collection and I'm working on buying everything back on Blu Ray.

So the 2550 will make the Play back and Picture that Much more Richer with regular DVDs then.

Thanks for your hand

The fan is there,....I own one. The sales person did not know what they were talking about. That's why it pays to research. The 1500 is outdated tech,....the 2500 series is so much better in all ways. Trade up or whatever,....you'll not be sorry. The 2500 series also streams Netflix(movies) and in the case of the 2550,...Pandora (music) from a high speed DSL or cable connection (ethernet cable required).

many places selling a product have pictures of the rear. these from Crutchfield:

BD-P2500 - fan

BD-P1500 - no fan
