Get 60g fixed or replace with slim?

Alright, got some extra money coming my way so I need help deciding whether to get my old 60g fatty fixed (it's artifacting and freezing) or get it replaced a new slim model. I called Sony customer service and they said they'll take the 60g and give me a new one for $110 but of course if I do that I'm out a PS2 and have to find one of those. It's $150 to get the 60g fixed and I had to fix it once already though that first problem was more my fault and not related to the current problem.
