I just bought from AmazonUK "Saints and Soldiers". No, not really a foreign film....but it got me thinking.
I have a few foreign films...subtitles and all...and I really like them. I enjoy a good story. CAn anyone suggest some kick butt foreign films that can be had on blu? I like said, I enjoy a good ole fashion story...so if there are any suggestions...bring em on. |

Some Danish movies are awesome but I don't know if they've been released on Blu-ray. The only one I own is Flammen & Citronen, set in WWII and counts the story of two Danish resistants during the Nazi occupation in Denmark.
But there's a lot of French movies I like as well, such as Les Visiteurs which got a BD treatment. Although I'm not sure which and which have got English subs. |

Most of these I have...Lives of Others...Counterfeiters..Pans...Orphanage.
Some I have not heard of. As far as the type...doesnt really matter. I love a good war flick...fantasy...whatever. Just a good story..doesnt matter the genre. Thanx for the suggestions though. Some of these I am going to look up. Anything else? |

There are a lot of threads in the Asian forum for specific titles that may interest you.
There are a couple of Indian Films available as well, Om Shanti Om(haven't seen it) and Saawariya. I've seen Saawariya and it's story is entertaining, but I was never engrossed in the film because it fell into to many of the Bollywood cliches, i.e. cleanest slum i've ever seen. ![]() |
