Question Movie with Groundbreaking Special Effects...?

What movie has provided the most groundbreaking special effects in Hollywood? Many people will say Star Wars (The orignal ones). The effects in those movies were amazing at the time.
The Matirx is also referenced for obivious reasons. Other movies that I've heard people mention are
Speed Racer (Mixing CGI and real life in a whole new way)
Terminator 2 (Liquid Metal Villain)
Lord of the Rings (Creation of Gollum)
Jurassic Park (The Dinosaurs)
Toy Story (100% CGI Effects)

What are you thoughts on what movie has had special effects that were the most groundbreaking or had the biggest influence on Hollywood movies?

Polar Express - using motion capture performances from live actors (mostly Tom Hanks in this case) to drive the movement and emotions of the animated characters on screen.

Did you know that for Terminator 2, the most expensive part of that movie was the big explosion in that building. interesting huh...

In regards to groundbreaking FX, wasn't "The Young Sherlock Homes" back in the mid-80's the first movie to have a CG character in it?

The morphing from human to werewolf in An American Werewolf in London. Still the best I have ever seen for its time.

I agree. Shot IN FULL LIGHT on the set. No room for errors. Plus, it's way better looking than most CG stuff.

I'll never forget, the first time I saw Jurassic Park was the first time I ever saw a real live dinosaur.
