Default Can anybody help me remember this film?

It seemed like it was made in early 2000s. The film starts out with a guy getting his instrument fixed (think it was trumpet or saxaphone) Then after it was fixed or something, he plays it and the instrument fixer is amazed. The guy who played the instrument tells the story of a guy who was foudn on a ship. His name was junior or something and he was raised by a black captain who later dies. After that, he goes on to becoming a professional pianist and even challenges the best of the best pianist to blues duet. That's all i can remember about the film. It was dam good though =)

Haha. Were you inspired by the success of my thread, to bump this one?

This sounds familiar though. I'll give it a minute and see if I can remember it.

For a moment I thought it was a JCVD movie but you lost me with the pianist part.

Sorry about that. I picked up a bunch of Ronnie Barker TV series on DVD over the festive period and realized just what a national treasure he was to us Brits.

I'll be changing it again soon, I have AADHD (Avatar Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)
