I downloaded it (360). Just waiting for my son to go to bed and I'll give it a whirl.

Your thoughts?

Haven't played it yet. I don't have a 360. Did they just put it on up on US's Live? Because its been on Japans Live thing for awhile

Yep it's up on US live. From what I've played (so far) it has the same type of controls as RE4.

I watched something online about it. I think IGN? Here there's a couple of big enemies thats almost impossible to kill and if the girl dies the games over

The guy with th big hammer or the axe? There's another guy on that demo to where you're blasting all of those explosive barrels that just happen to be there to kill him and you waste all your ammo

Nah, read somewhere that the 360 gets it first. Don't know why.

I think the ps3 demo comes out next week on the 5th or so i heard. I really liked the demo on the 360, but i want to try it on the ps3 before i decide what system to get the game on.

The controls are slow, the camera needs some work, and the aiming system needs a major overhaul.

I played it. It's the first RE I have played so don't have any priors to compare it to...... but I thought it was AWFUL! The controls are just baaaad. The zombies move slower than molasses. Left 4 Dead is a MUCH better game if you are looking to have fun killing the undead.

Wait, isn't there another control system on the game where you control the game via the usual means, the left stick to move forward, backward and strafe and the right one to aim the weapon. I heard thats also available.

Left 4 Dead to me was kind of boring.
It's fun, yes, but there isn't much to it if you are not playing co-op or multiplayer and once you have done that, you've seen it all.

Resident Evil has all of that and then some. Great campaign... one with a story line.
And the game actually has strategy, instead of running aimlessly trying to get from point a to b.

Left 4 Dead has room to be great.
I just hope they do something else with it's follow up.

Left 4 Dead is definitely a multiplayer game... which in my book is a very good thing. I get bored with single player games easily. It has tons of replay value. It also has tons of strategy.... especially the verses mode.

I don't care how great the story line is in RE5..... I'll never get far enough into it to know because the controls are utter crap. I can put up with a lackluster story for great game play... but I'll never put up with crap game play for a great story.

WOW, what a dissapointment. Finally had the time to finish the demo. Consider it an expansion pack to RE4. I expected more for the first next gem RE game.

Why can you not walk and aim at the same time?

It felt entirely too slow and it sounded and looked like I was shooting peas at the zombies.

I pre-ordered this from gamestop, but I will be canceling the pre-order and putting that money towards the "Godfather II."
