Anyone play the RE5 demo yet?

I played it. It's the first RE I have played so don't have any priors to compare it to...... but I thought it was AWFUL! The controls are just baaaad. The zombies move slower than molasses. Left 4 Dead is a MUCH better game if you are looking to have fun killing the undead.

Yep it's up on US live. From what I've played (so far) it has the same type of controls as RE4.

Wait, isn't there another control system on the game where you control the game via the usual means, the left stick to move forward, backward and strafe and the right one to aim the weapon. I heard thats also available.

Left 4 Dead to me was kind of boring.
It's fun, yes, but there isn't much to it if you are not playing co-op or multiplayer and once you have done that, you've seen it all.

Resident Evil has all of that and then some. Great campaign... one with a story line.
And the game actually has strategy, instead of running aimlessly trying to get from point a to b.

Left 4 Dead has room to be great.
I just hope they do something else with it's follow up.

Left 4 Dead is definitely a multiplayer game... which in my book is a very good thing. I get bored with single player games easily. It has tons of replay value. It also has tons of strategy.... especially the verses mode.

I don't care how great the story line is in RE5..... I'll never get far enough into it to know because the controls are utter crap. I can put up with a lackluster story for great game play... but I'll never put up with crap game play for a great story.

WOW, what a dissapointment. Finally had the time to finish the demo. Consider it an expansion pack to RE4. I expected more for the first next gem RE game.
